Fitting Campag 10 speed chain?

Is it OK to remove the end link with the label attached if you are replacing it with a quick link?. Otherwise, to use a quick link you would have to join the chain and break it in an other place. I was joining a new Veloce chain and the guide pin broke which meant I had no choice other than to use a quick link.

It worked for me.
Other than the pin its self I don't think that any of the chain parts are different link to link, so I think you can break it where ever you want

Hi there - We tag the link because it is the one that carries the letter-number serial code for the warranty. Mechanically it is the same as all the other links. As you are using a quick-link, the warranty is invalidated anyway, so the serial code becomes redundant and you can remove it.
