Good 20" BMX tires for an MTB?

Hello,
My Daughter has a Frog MTB which has 20" wheels, I'm looking to upgrade those tires and noticed there are few MTB tires but lots of BMX tires (including some Maxxis ones) at that size - surely some of those would work for an MTB?
She doesn't do anything especially ambitious general XC perhaps a bit of mud but not rivers and also some tarmac/pavement.
Recommendations are welcome,

so what have you seen that does not weigh more than half a ton?
most BMX tyres are just too heavy so check the weight differences. some ove the BMX tyres suitable for racing might be ok."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
