How many extra chain links

Hi
Got a new cassette and chain to fit today, had a 12-25 before and going to a 12-28. When I have changed chains before I have just lined the old and new against each other but I don't know how many additional links would be needed to allow for the 28t cog?
Any thoughts?
Cheers

1. Put casette on wheel on bike
2. Wrap chain around big ring and the 28 cog and see where chain touches
3. Add 2 links
That's what I've done in the past0 -
Use this calculator:-

Works every time for me. Just need to measure the chainstay length on your bike and input this along with the largest front and rear cog sizes0 -
