Oops. :oops:

Riding behind a mate this morning and I shoulder checked when I was too close behind - he slowed just enough for our wheels to overlap and....

Hole in the tights as I landed EXACTLY where I landed last week when I had my clipless moment and the scab that had formed was basically waving in the wind. This is a disgusting sight. Lovely big chunk out of my knee now.

    Bike's fine. slight scuff on the same spot on the bar tape, bars were slightly out of alignment which caused some confusion as I hadn't noticed it at first and the Hope battery pack was loose.

    Glad you and the bike are mostly ok, also glad I can't see the sight you mention. Does this mean you've unleashed a seal? :shock:

    I have the footage and it's pretty damn comical. I will post it up for you all to have a laugh at my expense :lol:

    (it's like something out of a proper film... camera faces forward, big gap. Looks away, looks back ARRRRGGHHH! <thud>)

    4 people have p*ssed themselves laughing.

    Mind you I've also had several snarky comments regarding my complaint that I've put a hole in my tights.

    Why was your mate slowing, signalling and moving across the road? I can't see a turning on the right, but I guess there must be one.

    Either that or he was moving around an invisible car parked on the left.

    There is a turning on the right coming up on a sharp left hand bend, so you need to get across early to stop people diving past. This explains the long look over my shoulder and my mate drifting across early (although I must admit I wasn't expecting him to move over THAT early! (hence the splintery crunch bang moment))

    No you shouldn't, you're a very bad man. Now karma with a bit of sod's law are going to come back and bite you on the aris'. That's why I didn't laugh, well not too much.
