So occassionally I'll get a personal record on strava.
This mornings one. Personal record on "Gone Dogging"
http://www.strava.com/segments/1436035
A few others from rides I've done or I've noticed in my strava dashboard. If your round enfield lock:
http://www.strava.com/segments/2830729
If you're around Debden:
http://www.strava.com/segments/3331215
Is this just a north east london/essex thing?

Get better and often ruder ones on the MTB.0 -
I'm mainly a mountain biker (yes, sorry) and the Surrey Hills, North Downs are full of amusing, crude, stoopid names.
One of the cleverest I saw appeared on my strava feed a while ago after a ride:
"Sram no Efil"
Strange I thought until I realised I had ridden a trail called "Life on Mars" the opposite way to normal...FCN = 40 -
I've http://www.strava.com/segments/gone-dogging-1436035 but never http://www.strava.com/segments/2830729 . Think the second one must be the on the cycle path?FCN 9 || FCN 50

A local segment has the title "see, it is a hill, Massimo", which is a masterpiece of passive aggression.0

What erks me is people who call decents descents.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0

Nothing wrong with a decent descent.....Faster than a tent.......0 -

Round my way they all seem to be called dropsies. e.g. Wild Boar Park Dropsy, Quernmore Dropsy.
Haven't noticed any particularly great segment names, but I quite like "The Surge".0 -
stop creating them then you chav just because you've moved to Essex dont mean ya need to start acting all towieRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.0 -

There used to be some very non PC segment names around Sitges in Spain (a well known gay holiday resort), but it seems like they've all been removed, I recall one was called 'bummers bend' (I did say they were not very PC).Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Ow yeah, a stupid segment, and not very accurate. For example there is now way I rode it at an average of 31mph...
Just really created it to see if anybody else names it horse sh*t bridge, and though there was always a lot of sh*t on it. Seems they do.0 -
I've just set up a segment on my mates commute, he'll be pleased to see that later0

There's a drag on my commute home called "ouch". With all the storms and southerly gales we've been having recently I now know exactly why it has that name.0

Ha, can't believe it was you, Will! We (the club, of which rubertoe is a member) refer to it as Horse Sh!t Bridge, but only after the Strava name - so thanks! On a wet day, I always find a wheel with a fender for a mile or so after we've crossed it. Gobs full of fertiliser are not what I'm after.
And 31mph is impressive. Even for you!Ben

Does anyone know why the stretches along the north side of the river around Chelsea-Vauxhall are called things like 'Barnyard Animals go Mental'? Am I missing something?2015 Planet X Nanolight

On a sunday ride a few weeks back I had a long, disconsolate ride up to the Kent county top (which no doubt compares favourably with the topography up there for sheer epicness ), into a howling headwind, through a rather depressing suburb/village called Biggin Hill. Had to nod in agreement when I saw that somebody had called the segment 'Biggin Hell'.0 -

My favourite in all the world, "Curious pleasures", Wimbledon town to Tibbet's Corner (http://www.strava.com/segments/5545363). Has everything: steep hill, posh village, parkside dash, and I get to do it every day.0

Have to share this one: Fourstones 1k it starts after a 6 mile descent that goes through Butt Bank!
BTW if you need cake near there go to the Filling Station, it's homemade and delicious!I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.0 -
I always liked this one I used to ride near Stratford
http://app.strava.com/segments/2330613
It's a pretty pleasant little village.
I ride this every day on my commute;

Not a Chinese anywhere near, so pretty baffling why it's called it.0 -
The Boulevard of Broken Glass

Watch out for doggers and perves followed by Watch out for boy racers
