Hi all

I am new here and not sure if anyone has the same bike but I have just bought the
giant talon 27.5 4 (2014) bike and wanted to know if anyond who has the bike if you have successfully
upgraded any of the parts yet?

    Hi, welcome.
    Without being rude or unhelpful what actually needs upgrading?
    I'd go out and enjoy it for a few months and then see what you don't like and start making changes then. Then replace bits which don't work (for you) and/or start dropping the weight if there are heavier parts on there.

    Every bike can be successfully upgraded.

    Why did you not just buy a better bike, the only thing I would consider upgrading is pedals, that is depending on what pedals came with it and the type of pedal you prefer.
    If your trails are muddy i would go and buy some tyres to cope with the mud.
    A mouthfull of mud, i guess ive crashed
