This Kili Expert is on the Winstanley website for £599 instead of £1199.
Spec looks good compared to other bikes at the same price. It seems an brilliant price

Was never really worth £1200, but for £600 represents a good buy, some nice parts. Is quite racy though, if that is what you want.0

Steepish geometry, low front end, racing tyres - is built for fast XC riding, and quick handling as compared to some bikes that are a bit more forgiving.0

I've checked out a couple of 29ers and even with the smallest frame sizes I struggle to get my leg over the cross bars
I thinks i'm gonna go for a 650B bike

29ers, 26ers, or 650b, frames aren't really any bigger on one than the other - the seat tube i still the same height, it depends on the frame layout.
For £600 look at the Voodoo Bizango, but is quite heavy. The Saracen may be perfect if your riding isn't too technical, or you are skilled to get the best out of it.0 -
Mainly goin to be used on canal and easy trails with my kids.
maybe a little tougher rides as I get more proficient and confident.
is the fact it has only 20gears likely to hinder me?

That's a wide range of gears. You don't get the ultimate spread of a triple set up, but fast enough for most people!0
