Hi
I have a Falcon Adventurer and i tried to go a step forward buying a cx bike, but i didnt feel very confortable
So i decided to buy a new hybrid bike, for some road routes, etc
Which one would you recommend for 400 pounds? I have seen the Boardman Race 2014 and looks nice, but the crank is too big (50) and the cassette doesnt seem to be very progressive (11-32 9 speed)
What would you recommend?
Thanks

If you want a fast, flat bar type of road bike, then this is a great buy:

Boardman hybrids are generally well regarded.0

I almost made my mind... Trek 7.2, 7.3 8.2 8.3
Specialized sirrus or specialized sirrus sport
Anybody has one of those?0 -

The DS and FX are basically the same but the DS has suspension. You need to work out if you need suspension. Usually of you aren't sure it means you don't.0 -
Ok no suspension then.. It is between those 2 specialized and the trek fx0

Why not the Decathlon? Lighter, better equipped and cheaper.0

50 crank looks like too big.. I would prefer 46 or 48. Are components in btwin better than in specialized sirrus?0

Yes, carbon bladed fork, and even compared to the higher model, better shifters. Nice wheels and tyres too, the whole thing only weighs 24lbs.0
