2012 Specialized Allez Comp

I've had this bike for around 18 months now and thought I'd put together a post for it.
It's a 2012 Specialized Allez Comp. This was the top-of-the range Allez model in 2012 and the only one to have the E5 tubed frame. I had owned an Allez previous to this and decided on another as this has a slightly nicer frame, but also had a full 105 groupset (and upgrade from Sora on my previous Allez).
Over time I've only made a few small changes to it, as it's still a better bike than I am road cyclist to be honest. Changes are a set of 105 pedals to match the groupset, a FSA carbon seatpost and stem and I recently added a set of Mavic Askium wheels. I had changed the seat as the original discoloured due to some new shorts!
I have been tempted to change for a 2014 Giant TCR, but am struggling to justify it when this bike is still plenty capable for my needs. Think the next change will be the tyres to something a little lighter.

No reason to change that. Its a nice looking frameset and bike. Good job.0

Thanks for the comment. Agree that I should keep it. The lure of something new and carbon is there though.0

Do know what you mean ...
I've got the Allez also, very happy with it as my first bike and to be honest I'm still learning and it ain't cramping my style!
But I still find myself being tempted by Evo6's, RT58's and Colnago ACR's ...Still thinking of something clever to say!0 -
I've got a 2012 Allez Comp too, made a few changes to it, firstly i'm running the stem on the 20mm spacer and steerer cut to size, then fitted some Mavic Cosmic Carbone's, just fitted a Fi'z:ik Ardea Versus, fitted a garmin 500 and in front mount, got a new stem on order (pro vibe sprint) 105mm, will more than likely get a Pro seat post just for a bit of bling.
I really like the bike and cant see me changing for a long time.

I need to sort the headset spacers out on mine. Was awaiting getting a bike fit done to see where the stem should be before having the steerer tube cut. Think I have the original tapered spacer and one 5mm spacer below the stem at the moment.0
