Hi,
First time fitting anything to my bike, so please be gentle. I have installed new shifters, cassette and rear derailleur. I having trouble fitting the rear derailleur correctly, it was looking ok, and then I took it for a spin and the rear derailleur ended up rubbing against the frame as seen in the image below:

It's mounted wrong - the 'arm' bit should be aiming backwards. There b screw should butt up against the tab on the hanger.I don't do smileys.

Thinking about it, I'm not sure if the Shadow works the same with the b screw (I hate them and got rid of mine.)
If not there will a stop on the mech to butt up with the tab on the hanger.
Should look like this

thanks! so there is just one bolt to connect the rear derailleur, how do I position it differently ?0

Unscrew and position like the pic above so the attachment bar points back and not down. There is a lump on the bar that sits behind a part on the hanger.0
