Hi,

I am looking for a set of wide (740-760mm wide) flat bars. I am not interested in a low rise bar as I will be using bar ends.

Does anyone know of any other than the Nukeproof Warheads? These Ritchey bars are meant to be 740mm according to CRC http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ritc ... prod112179 but on the Ritchey site they are only 720mm.

Nukeproof is probably your best but but 3T, Ragley & Syntace make ones that long, I'm pretty sure crank brothers do as well, there are also these:

Raceface Atlas bars are very nice.
Merlin had Easton Haven 780 bars cheap.
  • Brilliant, lots of options! Cheers miceden and RockmonkeySC

Look at Crank Brothers bars- you can pick them up discounted eg on Chain Reaction Cycles. I'm sure On One were selling wide flat bars at a decent price too a while back - can't remember the brand.

I misunderstood his (not very clear) post. He said he didn't want low rise - I thought that meant he wanted a higher rise, hence my suggestion. Would've been clearer if he'd said he wanted flat.

What like he did in the post title, or the part where he said wide, flat bars. I'm not interested in low rise.

It's ok to misunderstand things kowalski but admit you misread the post, rather than blame the op.
  • I have some 760mm nukeproof warheads going if OP is interested?
Let me know and i can send photos etc - way too wide for my narrow shoulders!

I already said that I'd misunderstood it. Jesus, some of you people really do need to get out more.
  • Yes, but then you said it was unclear, when it clearly wasn't.

They are 740mm. I bought some last month for my 29er.

These are 780mm and 62% off - for that saving it might be worth the hassle of trimming them (I did). http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/cran ... -prod53288

Looks like a typo that should read 680mm ?

Cool - I will wait for pictures from Jimfrandisco and then decide what to buy.

Same bike as I have too - I see you have shortened the stem too? Has it made much difference.

60mm stem goes well with 740mm bars. I've also got a Works Components 68.5 degree headset fitted to my 2013 7.9. Canyon seem to agree, the new Spectral 29er has the same geo figures.

One other change. The more alert MTB owner will know Fox don't make 110mm forks. There is a 10mm tuning spacer on the air side. Whip it out and you have 120mm travel forks !

I'm guessing the 2014 spec Nerve 29ers doesn't have this spacer installed. Can someone get out a ruler and measure their slider length ? It may be 120mm as standard.

Possibly on that model yeah, not sure, but Crank Bros do make wider bars & their stuff is often discounted at CRC and elsewhere.

Sounds good - I might give that a go.

Just measured the exposed stachions are 115mm on my 2014 Nerve - how do I take this spacer out?

115mm means you have no spacer fitted. When the suspension is broken in fully you'll get more.

    Here's mine with spacer
