This may be a really dumb question but I need to replace the cables on my Ultegra 6600 shifters but can't seem to find a set anywhere. Will this set for 6700 work?

Any good quality set will work, including the one you've linked to.
  • Cheers - I thought that but wasn't sure if something changed with gear cables that are routed under bar tape and those like mine that aren't. :)

  • Any road set will work but I think it's much nicer to buy the bits separately and then you get exactly what you want. This is my personal favourite shop - good quality outers and inners, loads of colours and all the little bits and bobs you could want (unless you are going exotic with Nokon, Gore Ride-on style of course) :

Funny, I just got the outers for my 'cross bike from them. Good seller.

For road builds I think Shimano SP-41 gear outer and any of their mid to high end cables and brake outers would be my first choice, but you won't go far wrong with any big brand. In some cases buying a kit is cheaper, but it's worth comparing.

OP, the set you linked to originally is brake cables only, did you realise that?

I like the Jagwire "Road Pro" sets. http://jagwire.com/products/v/road_pro Better than the Shimano in that the brake housing they use gives a firmer feel. These are roughly half the price of Shimano if you shop around and last as long or longer plus more colour choices.
