Afternoon all.
Collecting £1500 worth of new bike in the week and want to make sure it's properly insured. Never had insurance for current bike.
Can't do a house-insurance related one as don't have any and won't be getting any.
Just want to make sure I'm properly covered against theft and accidents. Theft very unlikely due to where I live, where I keep the bike and what I use it for but if I have a spill and need a new wheel or shifter, that's the main concern. Few sportives and 100m+ rides lined up this year but no racing or anything needing special cover.
Any tips?

Expect to pay royally for your £1500 bike.
Insure the £1500 bike but don't take out house insurance - logic in that?0
