Hope hubs and carbon rims

Has anyone built/used a set of Hope hubs on some carbon wheels?
I'm toying with building a set, any idea what spoke count I would need? I weight 85kg and I'm more of a sprinters build.

Back on with this project now.
Where would I get such rims farsports or UK sourced?
How might they compare to something like a Reynolds or Mavic?0 -

If you get good ones (Gigantex for instance) they will be pretty much the same, except if you overheat them. These will delaminate quicker than the above mentioned. As for the cheapest Chinese Ebay jobbos, who knows? You don't know what you are buying, so it's difficult to say...left the forum March 20230 -
Some of the chinese one as a good as the gigantex some are not. gigantex though seem fine so long as you do not try and go down an alp on them with traffic on the road. The far sport rims I believe are quite decent. Lots of folk on weight weenies use them without issue. Some of those chaps are serious riders.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

I've no plans to cycle the alps at the moment.
Other alternative is to look for a used wheel like Reynolds Assult or Cosmic SLE0 -

Do you know any of those guys personally? The feedback I have on Gigantex tubulars going down a steep descent is that they are crap... this from people I knowleft the forum March 20230 -
Well I did say they are fine so long as you are not going down a alp with traffic on the road which there will always be and there will always be bends to brake for. So I think that sums it up we agree.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
