Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Yep, going to try a different micro usb cable when I can find one.

No, suns out here and the ride was dry. The unit itself, bone dry.

Look inside the port. Is there any corrosion? I had and edge 500 corroding and I had it replaced. It was actually out of warranty but they replaced free of charge.

This is why saving your ride data to the SD card is a good idea as then if the unit decides to have issues you just pop the card in your card reader.

    Thats a good point, thanks.

There was no sign of dampness, no corrosion I could see and otherwise it was working fine. Having had it off for a couple of hours I opened the ports blew into it in case some dust or the like had gotten in and when I plugged in again it recognized the unit.

Fingers crossed it was just some small bug and won't happen again.

    Thanks for all the advice.
  • i sometimes have trouble with mine using cheaper usb cables doesnt like them for some reason but works fine with the garmin one it came with
