Scottish cycling tv advert banned

  • I've made my feelings known to the ASA. They will ignore them, just as they ignored the experts when coming up with this bizarre - and implicitly dangerous - ruling. Right now, any car driver reading their decision will be thinking "That's right; cyclists SHOULD stay close to the kerb". And novice/nervous cyclists might take the same erroneous message from their decision. Or not ride at all, if it's so dangerous that they *have* to wear special safety gear.

I know how to complain TO the ASA; how do I complain ABOUT the ASA? Any organisation which bans a cycle safety advert on the grounds that cyclist s must wear helmets and should ride close to the kerb is not one which I want making decisions of any importance.
They use their cars as shopping baskets; they use their cars as overcoats.
  • Yes, how do you complain about the ASA? What an unbelievable ruling.
