Upgrading Lyrik R to RC2L

I'm looking at possibly installing a RC2L damper on my 2011 RS Lyrik R. I've read that you have to upgrade the rebound damper at the same time due to oil not moving fast enough through the standard 'R' model. Anyone know if this is true/have any experience of this? (I could not see anything in any of the RS PDFs)
If that isn't true, is it as simple as removing the red top cap, replacing the oil with the correct volume, then installing the RC2L?
Cheers in advance!

On many RS forks you need to upgrade the rebound damper for displacement reasons. I'd contact TF tuned for the definitive answer.0

TF upgraded my Lyrik a couple years ago with the Mission control DH damper and said that the rebound upgrade was good but not essential.
The new damper made a huge difference. I did eventually upgrade to the dual flow rebound which did help but wasn't as much of an upgrade as the compression damper.
It's not a cheap upgrade.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
