Evans Ride It Scotland - route change

I received an email to say they have changed the route of this sportive, due to a clash with a running event on the Dukes Pass.
The maps on the website are still of the old route.

Does anybody know what the knew route will be (long route) ?

Evans sent out a pdf with the new route on it this week. Couldn't see it on their website or I'd put up a link...

Anyone got any views on what the new route is like.

I don't really know the area, but from my reading it looks like a lot of flattish A roads with only a couple of hills - Gateside Road out of Stirlling and Dukes Pass.

Annoyingly it is only going to be 126km, so I'll be the one doing laps of the car park to get up to the 130km Gran Fondo for the month :roll:

I was under the impression than the Gran Fondo will vary in challenge each month - although January and February have been the same. There's no guarantee the 130km ride will be the case for March - although it's not likely to be less than 130km, it could be climbing?

Unfortunately it goes along some pretty rough roads, but it will definitely be hard work.
Not a route for your best wheels.

Bad news; the March challenge is 160km. So 34km worth of laps around the car park

It's coming down the Tak Ma Doon towards Kilsyth!

I love going downhill fast, but not on that road.

Apologies that link to Strava is incorrect.
The Evans ride doesn't go near the Tak ma Doon or Crow Road.
I was trying out other routes on Strava for my club mates but it kept the same link. I will edit it shortly.

Edit:- Correct route now re-created in Strava so the link works correctly.

Hmmm that puts a different complexion on my summer activities...

Will need a rethink. I'm just hoping that that the 160km doesn't increase any further :shock:
