11spd chain on 10spd cassette-new Force yaw FD yaw
I placed an order for a new 11-28 shimano ultegra cassette (got a great deal) and for a new sram force 22 yaw FD to use on my Supersix Apex..
can i use an 11spd chain with a 10spd cassette or should i stick with a 10spd chain?? the cage of the new Force FD is a bit narrower than the old one and apparently an 11spd chain will eliminate any possible chain rub on the 10spd crankset..
cheers

If you have 10 speed groupset why would you want to use an 11 speed chain?
Just buy a 10 speed chain.Yellow is the new Black.0 -

Not with a 10 speed group they don'tYellow is the new Black.0 -
Add the fact that there isn't a reusable quick link for an 11 speed chain.0

And Yaw22 doesn't work with 10 speed shifters as you'll have chain rub just about everywhere. A SRAM Yaw FD (10 speed) will. Maybe that is why SRAM Yaw22 FDs are so cheap.
Edited to add:
Having done some digging, it appears the compatibility issues are only with BB30 BBs. Success seems better if you aren't using a compact set up.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0
