with rain though
Today is a few hours studying, followed by a bike ride with the current wife and then to the bike shop to buy some carbon porn.
After all that excitement I will take the kids swimming and then visit the pub

Hello scuttlers
Job cancelled today due to engineering works so I'm spare at work, although I'm popping up to merthyr on a trip so as one of the lads can get away early, just the kind of guy I am, live to give etc.
Hopefully I get away a bit early too and then off to be c.d.w.m. Guinea pig tonight.
That is enough for now you nosey barstewards0 -
Morning Losers!
Huuuuge sleep for me last night. I think I must have needed it, I'm feeling quite good today!
Some potential new work for me in the pipeline, I'll be talking to someone tonight about it, but it could be my field of work being used in a new way.
So, off to Accrington this afternoon to see who wins at the football, then back to Bury where my piano skills have been requested, then meeting with new project person. Busy day!

Morning bumders
Good night out with hot hockey girl last night, today is hockey with the possibility of gay bikes this evening. I've not managed much riding this week because of uni meh and man flu so want to get out for a bit.

Afternoon Tw@ts,
On the A1 headed for sunny Lincolnshire and some drinking ahead with my yokel mates. Laters..."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Rather dry here, thankfully. Forecast for tomorrow has got me in the pits though, had intended to go to Cannock.
Today is coffee, bleeding my Avids, more coffee, some more coffee, some revision, yet more coffee, copious amounts of chicken and some coursework - followed by...yup...more coffee.
Onwards!0 -
Thunder, lightning, fast winds, and ofcourse 348573048534850348503485034958340308674906978458043985304985039485029358 litres of rain. During the weekend. As usual. This time the weather will be carrying on till tomorrow when we ride, so tomorrows ride is looking like a no no. FFS!!
Today is downloading and watching films like the illegal bastad i am. And maybe some revision. I shall be waiting for a chance to bolt off to the shops to grab some food to eat while im watching my films.

Accrington game was called off because of a shower that flooded the pitch. Only lasted about 15 minutes but was enough to halt the game. I found this out when I got to the grounds

It was more than a shower. I say was because it stopped, only lasted like an hour.
My description of it was accurate, there was all that i mentioned and the rain was very heavy.
Well when i used to play football, the football matches were very rarely called off due to a waterlogged pitch. Football in the rain is awesome. Its just a pain in the arse when its really windy as you cant play long passes!0 -
Spent my morning on site donning waterproofs and avoiding a heavy and very sustained waterboarding assault by the heavens upon mother earth.
Luckily I was kept dry from top to toe for a change, the investment in half decent waterproof gear is well worth it in Northern Ireland.0 -

Don't be a pussy, it was a light shower with a little wind on the side. I was out playing hockey in it and winning too.0 -

Sorry, had to use that. It was the perfect opportunity.
Im not a pussy, I love playing sports in the rain, and i love cycling in the rain too.
But cycling in 25mph winds in heavy rain (both are forecast) through masses of mud for 3 and a bit hours is not exactly an ideal ride is it. And i have to cycle on the road for 4 miles each way too.
If i was the only one not going then id be a pussy, but everyone in the group i ride with have decided that its best to give it a miss.0 -

I can think of better opportunities to use it...
When else are you meant to ride??? That is typical british weather, I can't remember the last time I didn't do a ride in those conditions.

Sod riding every ride in torrential rain...
Well the "mates" that i ride with are in their 30s and 40s. None of my school mates like cycling.0 -

Yeah, at that age I doubt they have any standards.0
