I bought a new 29er (trek x-caliber 9) last weekend and managed to get a puncture on the way home thanks to a small piece of glass. Anyway I'm needing to commute on this bike and so need to get some tyres that aren't going to fall apart. I don't want to run 700c tyres as my route is too rough for them.

I'm looking at some schwalbe smart Sam plus tyres (http://www.schwalbe.co.uk/mtb/smart-sam-plus/) due to their green guard proofing but I'm wondering if there is anything that I've missed and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
