Won't go into gear

hi
I have a 10 speed 105 group set. For some reason its not going into gear 9 ?

Any ideas why?

    Does it go into 10 and 8?

    If it goes 1 to 8 OK and no further it sounds like you need to adjust the limit screw to allow it to travel further.

    It seems to go into gear 9 from 10 but not 9 from 8 it just skips over 9??

    So it goes into all gears but 9? Is 9 sprocket worn more than others?

    Is the indexing spot on?

    Are all the spacers installed in the right places?

    Did it used to go in OK?

    Hard to diagnose over the net - anyone local who can have a butchers?

    I would check that the gear hanger is plumb before doing anything else. A slight distortion would cause this problem. View it from the rear and check if the jockey wheels are directly under the chosen sprocket.
