CRC Have an extra 10% of making a Cube Reaction GTC Pro 29er £900,

Is this a good bike for the money?

Is there anything better out there for similar money?

Thanks

Cube Analog 2012 with various upgrades.
  • I owned the 26" version really nice and speedy, nice finish on frame and good components apart from the sun ringle rear hub which seized solid read about lots of probs with these, lbs changed to a diff hub with no probs and sorted cube warranty themselves as they recommended not to have anothe sun ringle rear.

One hell of a bargain. Carbon frame, XT/SLX kit. I suppose the brand of fork might put off some people.

Racy frame - make sure that's what you're looking for. From what I gather the Reaction is more stretched/XC than the cheaper Cubes.

My first decent MTB was a Cube (LTD Race) and has since been handed on to the missus. Great bike

Good value, but very xc focused, so might not be suitable for you
  • Thanks all, I mainly ride road and Cyclocross bikes. But fancy a 29er for riding some of the trail centres, the hardest stuff I would ride would be a RED route and I like the wheels on the ground. Might do some XC / Enduro racing as well.

Would the Cube be ok? I have also conceded a Boardman 29er Pro and a Canyon would these be more suited to my needs?

Don't ever say that the hardest stuff you will ride will be red routes, or you will never improve. Make your target for the year be to ride a black route and that way you will become a better rider and have something to aspire and train for... You always have to challenge yourself
