11 speed chainset with 10 speed cassette

Hi,

I am pretty sure I can do this but I just need a little bit of reassurance before I pull the trigger.
I am running 10 speed 11-28 cassette on a 50/34 105 compact chainset.

Pretty sure I am right in thinking that I can run 11 speed chainset with 10 speed cassette?
Looking at an Ultegra 6800 11 speed chainset.

Any help much appreciated!

    Short answer is it should be fine.

    Plenty of people have said it's ok, including in the recent thread, but nobody has yet come back to say they've fitted it, and that it works (or not)

    some one in our club ran a DA 11sp chainset, with 10sp for a while whist the rest of the grp set arrived, with no issues what so ever.
