Anyone doing this in July??
I wanted to do the normal L2B, but my mate has booked his Stag Do in Benidorm that weekend, so I looked on the BHF website for another ride to do and came across this:-
http://www.bhf.org.uk/get-involved/even ... -ride.aspx
I will be trying to get lots of sponsorship for this as my brother passed away just before Christmas from a heart condition.
Anyone who's done this ride before... what's it like?
Cheers
Chris

if you're on twitter have a chat with FatCycleRider, he done all 3 BHF L2Bs last year (the standard one on Father's Day, the Night one and the off road one) http://www.fatcyclerider.co.uk/2013/07/ ... -2013.html

I did the moonrider one last year and had a good experience, even if the entry fee is a bit OTT, The BHF ones are a bit bigger i think.
One thing i would say is dont do it on your own, take some mates as with being in the the dark etc, the chat between riders seemed to be limited until the sun came up.0 -
Thanks Guys!
There's around 8 of us doing it so far.0 -
Same as Mickthemove, the eldest lad and I did the moonriders one last year. Better with company and don't under estimate how cold it can be.0

Only 3 months away now. Still need to purchase a decent front light. I've got one of the eBay specials, but not sure the battery would last for the full ride.
I will be taking my jacket and also a gillet for the super cold bits. I can't imagine it would be much colder than the Box Hill ride I did last year where it p'd it down the whole time.
