Hoods or tops?

Wandering around Sainsburys the other day, it occurred to me that I was holding the shopping trolley by the outside of the handles (like being on the hoods) whereas everyone else was holding the round part of the handle (the tops). I assume trolley handles are designed to be gripped on the tops, but that just feels wrong to me and I have to use the hoods.

Anyone else do this?
Pannier, 120rpm.

I sometimes find myself doing a quick shoulder check, before aiming for the apex on the corner for the next aisle

Being a rallying fan, I always set my trolleys up into a nice four wheel drift for the corners......
