So what is everyones opinion on this? And if kona is a bad choice, how come?

Kona made bad bikes for the last 10 years but have finally sorted themselves out. The Process is getting amazing reviews.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I wouldn't say bad, just... not as good as the competition lol.
but as above, the process looks awesome!0 -

I'm hoping not too many people buy the Process, so there might be some stock left at bargain prices at the end of the year when 2015 bikes are due out...0

Unlikely. My local shop can't get them in fast enough. He's sold loads of them in all three varieties.
Konas are actually outselling Giants in this shop at least.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

FTFY.
I loved mine
But they've been a little mediocre for a few years. New range looks decent though.0 -

I know, but I can hope. The 134 gets a much better review than the comparably priced Trance in the group test in this month's MBR, if you hold any sway by those kind of things. I don't have a Kona dealer locally to go have a gander at one (not that I know of, anyway).0 -

Still seem poor value, but many like the 'new' geometry, whatever that means. Suspension is pretty basic.0

Yeah, the spec's not impressive for the money (nor is the weight) - suspension units are a lot lower rent than I'd expect on a £2200 bike, but everyone's raving about the way they ride (which, to be fair, is surely the most important thing?).0 -
Subjective innit?! Must be a sweetspot of geo that a lot like. But as I said in tother thread, Ive seen it before. Intriguing though.0

Bit like this

I have the Deluxe. Nothing special about the bits, although large chunks of it have been changed, but for my type of riding it just feels right.I don't do smileys.

I do like the scandium stuff they did.0

The scandium frames were very good until they broke.
Magic link frames were all sh1t, possibly Konas worst frames.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Was Konas effort to do something unique with suspension. They can't afford to license owt.0
