Can I increase the travel on my RockShox Recon Gold TK?

Just been through all of the threads thrown up by a search on here so have a rough idea of the answer I'm going to get (take the forks apart and look) but I was just checking to see if anyone had actually taken apart and succesfully changed a RockShox Recon Gold TK 120mm to 130mm or longer?
If so does it make any difference to the rebound or lockout? Also any other problems that could be incurred by doing this? Forks are on a camber which tbh could do with being a little slacker for some of the trails I ride, if this can't be done to this particular fork I'll be on the hunt for a 140mm fork so suggestions welcome (budget unknown)

Some can, most can't.
10mm will barely be noticable. Sell them and get a 140mm fork.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
You can't lengthen these forks.0

Perfect info thanks.
Won't sell them just yet, I'll probably stick them onto the voodoo hoodoo I'm building IF I can convince the boss (misses) that I absolutely, positively need a set of 140mm travel forks. As we're getting married in May I'm not sure she's going to allow me that sort of expense right now unless I can get someone to bill them as flowers or suit fittings or something of that ilk0 -

Got a specific 140mm fork in mind?0 -
Not sure I'd be putting a 140mm fork in a hoodoo unless I've misread you....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Yeah you've misread but to be fair it's got a bit muddled in translation (I'm covering for you here ) I'm after more travel on the front of the camber and I think 140mm will be just enough for that frame. Due to funds I'll be making the voodoo a rigid for the time being and put the Recon's on once they have been upgraded on the camber.0
