Giro helmet straps
Hello
Have been meaning to ask this for ages ....
The strap on my Giro helmet is far to long and for the last 12 months I have been folding it out of the way using the Giro supplied band. It's obviously easy enough to cut it to a more appropriate length, but I have avoided doing so as I have no idea as to how to "seal" the cut end to stop any fraying.
Has anyone tried cutting theirs and if yes what did you do to seal the end - match?

Get an OLD knife an heat it over the gas ring until it's red then use that to cut the strap.0

just seal the cut end with a flame, lighter or match will do fine.He is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0

That's what I did with my Giro helmet straps. Trimmed with sharp scissors, then the edges melted carefully with a lighter. Been fine for 2 years now.0
