Bianchi 29ers (Jab 29.3)

Does anyone know much about Bianchi MTBs and in particular the Jab 29ers?
I'm considering a Jab 29.3 as a potential first proper MTB (2nd hand) and wondering whether it's any good. I can't seem to find many reviews or anything. Does the spec seem reasonable?
Spec here - http://www.evanscycles.com/products/bia ... e-ec031980
I had considered a Canyon AL6.9 as a potential new bike, or maybe a Rockhopper 8.3 but this bike is advertised for a good bit less and in good condition.
Thanks!

It would have to be very cheap.
Rubbish fork and the rest is very average. The Rockrider is better.
Mountain bikes made by road bike manufacturers are generally a bit rubbish.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Thanks, it's £550? I just couldn't find anything about it really. I'd prefer to pick up something pretty good if I went 2nd hand, not something that needs lots of upgrades.
Is the Rockrider better than the Canyon? I can get c2w so might just continue to look around. I want to be <£1k for new.0 -

Do you mean like Ritchey, Trek, Cannondale etc etc who all happened to start off making road bikes well before MTBs came along?Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0 -
No, I mean manufacturers like Bianchi, Willier etc who make lots of road bikes and just one or two crap mountain bikes aimed at roadies who want a mountain bike to ride around the park.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

£550 is what it should be new, not second hand.0
