Wheelset for the Mrs

Got the Mrs a Boardman Fi hardtail, nice bike but it's a little weighty. Thinking a new wheelset would be a good place to start - since she's a wee girl I can go pretty lightweight which should make quite a difference to the weight and ride for her.
Any recommendations? I don't want to spent more than about £200 if I can avoid it, would consider used too. The bike is 26" QR front and back - 6 bolt disc.

I'll be honest, I don't actually know how much the current wheels weigh! They're fairly budget looking things though so I figured they'd be holding a lot of the weight. Guess it makes sense to weigh them so I can see how much I'd save with newer wheels. Tyres are Continental Mountain Kings.Something...0

under 700 grams for the tyres you can save a few grams getting lighter tubes as well. I used GEAX tubes before I went tubeless and they weight in at 135g compared to 200g for the tubes that were on the bike. cheap too from wiggle

Weigh the wheels and see what they come in at then go from there. the crossrides are not a particularly light set (rear is heavyish)

Thanks Poah, those Superstar wheels look good - need to get myself some digi-scales first though I guess. Do you guys just use digi-bathroom scales?
Just spotted these on there which are 50g lighter: http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/product_ ... cts_id=826Something...0 -
I just use the kitchen scales
those other wheels are pure race - I'd not trust them on anything other than the flat. rims are silly light0 -
These are for the Mrs bearing in mind, she's only a size 8 and won't be ploughing over rocks and so forth, she rides on the road and does blue runs at trail centres and footpath kinda stuff with me.Something...0

Boardmans are generally quite light but might not be the same comparatively for women's weight.
I'm sure the beginner / Rookie will be along with some guidance.
Superstar are the go- to's typically - might even come in lady coloursFamily, Friends, Fantastic trails - what else is there
