Shimano 11 sp chain on 10sp chainset

Hi
Can I temporarily ( and successfully) run my 11 speed DA system on an Ultegra 10 speed compact chainset for a couple of hilly rides?

    Front chainrings 'should be OK' but they claim the pickups are different for 11 speed (but I bet it will work).

    Assume you will still have an 11 speed cassette?

    As long as there's no danger of the chain getting caught between the rings (unlikely) it will be fine.

    Yes, 11 speed cassette/levers/ but just compact Ultegra 10 speed on front
