18.05.14 - The Great Escape - Audax

picture.php?albumid=2868&pictureid=16774

My club, Islington Cycling Club, is running a 200km audax that starts and finishes at the famous bicycle cafe Look Mum, No Hands! in Old Street, London EC1V 9HX.

The Great Escape, as we are calling it, explores Essex, taking in many pretty villages, pubs and cafes to refuel at, as you'd expect with an audax. It is also only £8 to enter, so it is great value and starts from central London.

You can view the route and enter here http://aukweb.net/events/detail/14-251

Places are limited to 200.

I'm in for this, but between injuries and lack of training, I'm far from confident of completing what will be nearly 250k include home.

    Weather looks great.
