I am about to buy a £1000 bike and im thinking of buying some insurance for it. Do you have any insurance in your bike? Which one would you recommend?

Thanks

Check your home and contents insurance; many will cover a bike of that sort of value automatically. If you're going to leave it locked up outside, read the small print very carefully to make sure you have the right locks etc...

I dont have a house insurance at all as i am a tenant. I rented the house but the insurance comes with the letting agency...

That will cover the landlord if the house burns down, but I doubt it'll cover you if someone breaks in and steals your TV; tenants normally have to arrange their own contents insurance.

If your tenancy includes contents insurance, it may well cover bicycles anyway. Either way, it's typically far cheaper than a dedicated policy.
