Hi, sorry for my ignorance but I cannot understand what headset do I need for my bike.

Is anyone able to tell me what headset will be needed for my BMC SLC01 Pro machine? I know that currently it's a FSA integrated one...but that's it....

so far I've also found these threads but I still don't know which one should I buy...

I found that planet-x do sell headsets cheaply, so if anyone is able to find the right one for my frame I would really appreciate it! there's the link: http://www.planetx.co.uk/c/q/components ... /head-sets

In the first link you posted a happy owner has successfully fitted a Campag fit headset to his, so I would get one of these:

Basically it uses 45x 45, 41.8mm bearings. The Campag fit and the Cane Creek fit headsets are the ones you come across the most. The Cane Creek fit uses 36x45 bearings if I recall.

If you want to stick with FSA it looks like you'll be needing the ORBIT CE or ORBIT CE plus models which are Campag fit.

    Thanks for your response.

I would prefer FSA, to be honest, and this one seems to be fairly cheap. But it is going to be definitely the right one?

Sorry, its sold out... but there is the other one you've recommended:

Well the Campag fit one as shown is one of the commonest headset standards and it seems to be the one that owners of your bike have been using. It might be worth taking the headset apart on your bike and just looking at what is written on the bearings. If it says 45x45 you can pretty much guarantee it will be ok.
Also, if you measure carefully across the bearings you have got they should be 41.8mm diameter- that's 42mm to you and me.
If it's only 41mm then you have Cane Creek fit and bearings are 36/45.
