Cannock Winter Classic 2014

Hi there. I've not been in any event before and saw this. I've ridden Cannock a few times, it's not far, and thought this looked to be a good event for my level.

The blurb says its focused on the novice and fun rider, but there is an enthusiast category. I'm not the quickest rider in the world, far from it in fact, but want to put myself in the right category. Anybody been to this last year and know how different these levels are? I noticed there's a lot of club riders signed up.

    Ha! Well, I should have looked before I leaped, both categories are fully booked now so it may be a moot point. There is a summer event though so if anyone went to either then my question still applies :)

    Give the first timer category ago, esp if it's your first race.

    Thanks. Yes it is my first race so probably best to start at the bottom and see where I'm at. I spoke to the organisers yesterday and they said hopefully there will be a summer event this year again so looking out for that :)
