Hi
I am looking for a pair of warm gloves,I have problems with joint pain so my grip is failing as i get older, so its more important to have a good grip on the palm, £50 max price. Any advise guys.

Specialized BG Gel.

I haven't found better in terms of gel grip than these. I have tried various other brands, but keep coming back to the BG Gel stuff. The only downside is they are not that warm compared to "winter" gloves, but you could always use a liner or an outer.
I personally find a bit more insulation on the core, means the hands don't get as cold.0 -
Provided you don't go below freezing, try some neoprene wetsuit gloves, particularly ones with a textured pattern on the palms - £10-15 on ebay. Very good for wet weather too - sweaty, but you'll stay warm.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

They also provide an element of water protection too and the paddding is fairly decent0 -
Always find it funny that online sellers hardly ever show the palm of the glove, which is half the consideration in my view:

Sorry - I told a big fat lie above. I got home last night and realised ('cos they are still sitting on the kitchen table) that I'd actually gone out with these http://www.evanscycles.com/products/lou ... tAodnDIAsw although I do have the sealskins gloves
But as I said, kept my hands very warm and they are fairly reasonable in wet conditions (but not waterproof) and probably as important, are very comfortable0
