Corroded Chorus Hub - Useable?

These were on a pair of winter wheels where the rim wore through - I'm assuming these are now too corroded to be rebuilt?

    Never seen a set in that state... is it actually corroded alloy or it's hardened crap?

    Corroded alloy - took the spokes off and chipped away at the dirt and that's whats left...bearings are OK but I guess no hope for the rest of it

    I would recover the internals... axle, cones, etc and bin the shell. It seems beyond what can be rescued
