Hi All.
Any one been using the cheaper helmet camera's, friend of mine has a Drift one and does a lovely job, but I do find that after you have watched them a couple of times it all gets a little boring ( We were using this for Enduros)
My 9 year old is into his mtb and it would be nice for him to see what he's doing so has anyone used the cheaper ones with any half decent results, if so which ones.

Why do you think a different camera will make watching the video any less boring?
Drift cameras are pretty decent although I think the company went bust recently. GoPro is the standard and will be good quality footage even if the riding might not be!Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -

I bought one of these from Ebay -
They retail between £25 - £30 and the footage isn't too bad for the price. It downloads onto a micro SD card.
You can see an example of the footage here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N85Lk1ZODjM
For a kid it's probably ideal.0 -

Thanks for the reply Colinthecop that was a really useful reply, It's good to see what the results are from your camera, I think that would work well for him.0 -

Yes it is sh*t compared to a gopro. It's sh*t compared to the quality of most decent camera phones.
But for £25 it's good enough for a 9yr old.0 -
Polaroid do one that can be had for under £100, the reviews seem pretty good on the whole so might be worth a look?
