steel bottle cages

i need a bottle cage for my ti enigma esprit, i had the enigma carbon cages one has broken. i have been thinking of replacing both however and maybe pushing the retro look a bit with some stainless steel cages, has anyone any thoughts or recommendations. thank you

Elite do a chrome version of the custom race bottle cage. very shiney.

Get Titanium ones, if you have a titanium bike... I have had the Van Nicholas ones for 4 years... they are really really good... stiff and hold the bottle tight even on the cobbles, something I cannot say of the Elite mentioned before. They're not cheap at over 40 quid each, but if you have a Titanium bike, chances are you're not on the market for a pair of cheepos...

Arundel Stainless steel bottle cages are very good. King also make good Ti and stainless cages.

the king ones are nice, but yes i had just thought of titanium after i wrote the post! i can't bring myself to put vn cages on an enigma though, but i don't think i would worry about spending £40 its not cheap for the enigma carbon ones! i will have more of a budget once i get round to selling a frame i have to sell so can spruce up the esprit

I have a velo orange on my 1982 motobecane. Nice finish but rattles when bottle is out. Looks fantastic.

I've got these on my Esprit, they look really good and hold a bottle really well. They also do it in a matte finish which looks like it will look good with Ti.
