chainset compatability

I got some evans vouchers for christmas and have been looking at getting a new chainset. Evans have a slx chainset but it is 10 speed. I currently run a 3x9 set up.

Would there be any comatability issues in using a 10 speed chainset.

    I wouldn't. Surely they must have a 9?

    No I ran a SRAM X9 10 speed chainset with a mix of XT and SLX 9 speed gears and KMC 9 speed chain with no problems.

    should be fine, I run a 9spd chainset and 10spd gears without problems
