Internal Cable Routing
Hi
I've been looking at the cable kits that the outer segments clip together to get a tighter and neater cable run on my TT bike, such as this:
http://road.cc/content/review/52055-all ... -cable-kit
The frame I've got is internally routed, one that you run the full outer cable internally. e.g. the outer runs all the way from the shifter, in through the extension, into the frame behind the stem (still with the outer), out of the chainstay near the rear mech.....
Is there a way to use the kits like linked above until the frame and then have an adapter that changes to a normal cable?
Cheers
Will

personally i prefer nokon, similar principle but not knobbly like ilinks, as used by cancellara...
you could do a full length run, but it'd cost more and if it rattles inside the frame it might drive you insane
you can run a mix, use normal outer for most of the run, with nokon on the bit between frame and bars, use double-ended ferrules to connect the standard outer to the nokon
using powercordz rather than steel cables will also allow tighter radius, i use nokon+powercordz, excellent combination, pics of installation here...

Any idea where I can get a PowerCordz from a UK source?0

powercordz will ship to uk, also synergy sell them locally, i've used both, no problems with either, powercordz often do special discounts, check both to see which is best at the time
if you're using nokon, get the powercordz plus the powercordz nokon compatible liner, do not use the nokon liner, it is not as good

the blue grommets are supplied with the brake cables
for fitting the brake cables to calipers, read the powercordz instructions carefully and follow them!

do not damage the powercordz covering, make sure there are no sharp edges etc. and they'll last for years
make sure cable cutters are sharp, blunt cutters or non-shearing wire cutters will just chew them up without cutting
if you've any queries about use with specific components, email powercordz, they are usually helpfulmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0
