I'm looking for a long sleeved base layer with a wind stopper layer on the front as I feel the cold quite easily. Not Assos prices. Any recommendations?
Many thanks

I've a couple of Craft Zero Extreme Windstopper base layers that I really rate, but looking online they appear to have been discontinued0

Shame if they've been discontinued as I use one. Perfect for winter rides.0

Don't think (almost certain) the Probikekit Craft base layer doesn't have a Windstopper membrane on the front. This is the bit that makes a real difference.0

think decathlon do one, http://www.decathlon.co.uk/ls-aerofit-w ... 90487.html0

Don't really see the point of a base layer with a wind proof panel on the front. Can't wick very well. Would you not be better off wearing a normal base layer with a wind proof jersey or jacket?0

I have a couple of windstopper fronted baselayers, ideal for cold-weather and CX racing under a skinsuitMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Think I agree with this. I feel the cold as well, tend to just wear a castelli gabba gillet under my jacket ( normally rapha pro team or hard shell). Then the base layer can just do it's job and wick the moisture away.0 -
Thanks for all the replies. Re the WS on the front of a baselayer, just to put you in the picture as to how cold I get on a brisk training ride at ,say 4'C, at the moment I wear 2 Helly bases, a long sleeve autumn top & an Assos 851 over that. I STILL feel the cold. Hence the reason for a WS base layer. Have ordered a Craft on & see how I get on. Roll on spring!-- "I am but a spoke in the wheel of life" -- Ghandi0
