As titled its a long shot but my lbs hasn't got a FSA crank removal tool and can't source one quick enough prior to a ride out I have planned for Sunday. Is there anyone in Northumberland or north east that has one I could borrow. £££deposit left whilst borrowed. Please help !
Ps it's the type that removes the left crank arm that's threaded using the 10mm crank bolt

  • Are FSA cranks not self extracting with the Allen Key?

The 10mm Allen key comes out and the arm is stuck on the crank. There are larger threads inside the crank arms

  • Ah ok...you've got an older model then... you need a crank extractor then... they're cheap. This might work

  • Cheers for that
  • Just what I'm looking for also! Post updated before I could type it all in..
  • I am baffled... how can your LBS not have one? Was it Halfords?

  • Mosa - if all you need is a loan of a bog std crank extractor like the one ugo linked to I am in the North East (about 8-9 miles east of Darlo) and your welcome to use mine - pm me to set it up if you want.
  • Thanks for that offer. Your just a bit far for me ill rub the bike with the FSA matched with my ultegra until I get a tool. Was just hoping to get a tool to him tomorrow so he could do it. Thanks all. Ill get myself a tool similar to the link
  • If you are in a rush try a different shop. ALl LBS have a crank extractor... your LBS probably couldn't be bothered to take on the job

  • +1 to UGO its simply unbelievable that any LBS wouldn't have one of those - I am damn sure there are loads of lbs in the North East who will sell you one over the counter tomorrow - Cestria, Westbrook, Infinity etc etc
  • Or go to halfords and buy one
