Cycling home from work on Tuesday I was taken out by a car on a roundabout by someone who didnt see my 5 lights (1 front static, 1 front flashing, 1 rear static, 1 rear flashing, 1 helmet rear).

Fortunately he was a GP, accompanied by 3 other GPs (there are worse people to be hit by). I was on the roundabout, and he pulled out. I saw him slow down so thought he'd seen me, then as I got level with his bonnet saw him speed up again and plough into the side of me. They called an ambulance to check me over and all details were exchanged, including a witness. The witness then proceeded to tell me off for not being visible enough - despite the cree front light and reflective patches on my jacket.... Kick me when I'm down.

Im not hurt fortunately (apart from muscle stiffness) but bike has £270 of damage. Hopefully will be resolved fairly swiftly - seemed genuine. *fingers crossed*

I'd like to extend a special thanks to the car drivers who drove round me as I was lying in the road...

Market it - I'll buy some.

It is indeed - am going to buy some spoke reflectors as a last ditch attempt to make myself super visible....

And maybe some spokey-dokes so I make more noise too...
