Nice insight into the Cannondale training camp. Fun training game where the three teams try and average 47km/h with the lowest power output -> to encourage efficient riding etc.

It's interesting that the average watts at the end are really quite low for a reasonably high speed - just 170W (I can do that for ten minutes)

Quite low? Ridiculously low. 170w would yield a single rider well under 20mph on most flat surfaces.

When you're doing 29 mph average I imagine the effect from drafting is pretty huge? (there is certainly a big effect doing 25-27mph on a chaingang!) and i suppose they also could have had a tailwind, false flats etc.

Advantage of being behind on average 4 other riders on a well kept bike in a TT position.
