Saris car/van interior bike mounting system

Hello all,
anyone on here used one of these:
Designed to be used with 2 or so of these:
Thinking it might be useful in the back of my Volvo V70 estate.
Previously have had one bike either side, front wheels off, rear wheels near the backs of the front seats (All 3 rear seats down) and then have used a long rag to 'tie' the rear wheels to the grab rails, and then further along have used a bungee cord to secure the frame of the bike to a suitable hook inside the car.
We now have a little girl, so will only be able to put one or 2 seats down, and of course 2 bikes will need to now go the same side, so need ot ensure no meshing of derailleurs, gouging of pedals into frames etc etc.
Hence was thinking the above could be useful, but just wondered if anyone had any feedback?

I haven't tried one, but it's something I like the look of. I've considered making something similar too - I'd really like to be able to put my bike upright in the back of my estate car, I don't like carrying bikes on the roof.
I need to do some measuring and some thinking...Misguided Idealist0
