I know they are based in Germany but are the frames made there or in the far east?

Anyone care to explain how come Canyon don't seem to have any carbon road frames in stock available for immediate despatch? Looked on the availability for the CF SL and SLX framesets and delivery dates in most sizes are April onwards. Do they only order your frame from their supplier after you've ordered it or something? Would have expected them to have a good stock of their popular frames. Seems they don't.

More than likely stock frames are allocated for outstanding build orders.

The comment that they are the German version of Planet X is interesting.

I'm surprised it took that long for someone to say that

Can you post a picture of the Grand one in America?

  • Would have said they compare more to Dolan/Ribble rather than Planet X's hodge podge of bits and pieces which kind of make an ultegra/shimano 105 groupset.

Given Canyon sell 65,000 bikes a year of their own designs I would say they have little in common with the companies who use Taiwanese frame catalogues !
A better match up would be Lapierre, BMC etc.
