Routes near Colchester?

Hi, I live in Colchester and was wondering where there are good places to ride around area, ive just joined here and am keen to get out when I can. Ive done rendelsham a couple of times, Friday woods also but that was about 10 years ago :!: need to get out more this year, any suggestions welcome :D

    Whereabouts do you live in Colchester? I'm SW of it and so I've ridden around Heybridge, Goldhanger, Abberton, Tollesbury, Mersea, towards Sudbury, Langford, Great Leighs, Felstead, Great Bardfield, the Hedinghams, Bures, Fordham, down towards Chelmsford etc. Lots of choice. I've not ridden north of Colchester though as I'd either have to ride through Colchester or skirt round through the Bergholts.
