New bike for about £850?

My mate has a budget of £850 for a road bike i have been looking on different secondhand sites without success, he is looking for a bike with 105 groupset or above. seen this bike on Wiggle so what do you think? good or bad

Better spec and wheelset.
Its Aluminium but dont let that put you off. Nearly 1kg lighter than the Ridley and much lighter than many Carbons over £1000.
7.95kg for a 57cm frame. 105 Groupset (FSA Chainset)

Given the criteria of 105 groupset and the budget the Ridley looks perfect. At least with Wiggle if it doesn't suit then you have a test period within which you can return the bike for a replacement or refund.

Of course we all look for different things in our bikes depending on the type of riding we do, budget, colour, geometry, brand loyalty, recommendation, etc. So maybe more info is needed to give more specific advice, it is a little like asking for a £20k car with a 1.6 engine and 4 seats you might get recommendations for a Tata or a Jag.

Not checked recently but Wiggle had some excellent deals on carbon Felts depending on your size.
Edit. Just checked and Wiggle and for £868 they have the Z6 or F6 in all sizes. Z series are well rated frames.
